Job summary

Jewish Child Care Association (JCCA) in New York seeks a Director of Nursing to provide strategic leadership, clinical oversight, and administrative direction to all nursing staff within JCCA’s Medical Program across Bronx and Brooklyn sites.

The DON will supervise nursing operations, ensure high-quality trauma-informed care for children and youth (0–21), and collaborate with Human Resources to uphold safety, health, and excellence in care delivery.

Qualifications

• BSN required; NY RN license in good standing.
• Proven nursing management experience including staff, budgets, and operations.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards and quality improvement practices.
• Experience in pediatric/adolescent or family health settings preferred.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills with trauma-informed, person-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide visionary leadership and direct supervision to nursing and admin staff across multiple sites.
• Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff and ensure policy and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee trauma-informed, developmentally appropriate care for youth in care programs.
• Conduct program audits, quality reviews, and clinical performance evaluations.
• Develop and monitor departmental budgets and resource allocation with VP Clinical Services.
• Collaborate with CDQ/IT to optimize EHR systems and reporting processes.
