Job summary

Pediatric Health Choice, a proud PHS company in Tampa, FL, seeks a Director of Nursing (PPEC) to oversee nursing leadership and case management for medically complex children. The role reports to the Center Administrator and includes acting as administrator in their absence.

You will coordinate clinical operations, manage staff, and collaborate with physicians to ensure high-quality care and compliance with standards and documentation. CPR required; PALS preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Florida RN license.
• CPR certification required; PALS certification preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year in nursing management and leadership.
• Experience in pediatrics, especially with medically fragile children, is essential.
• Strong communication skills and knowledge of community resources.

Responsibilities

• Oversee case management for Day Health Center-Based Services.
• Collaborate with Center Administrator to ensure safe service delivery.
• Establish relationships with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals.
• Manage staffing patterns to meet clinical needs.
• Act as Acting Administrator in absence of Center Administrator.
• Coordinate daily clinical activities and respond to emergencies.
• Develop comprehensive care plans and coordinate services with providers.
• Lead family education initiatives to enhance care confidence.
• Participate in staff training and quality improvement processes.
• Assist in budgeting and operational reporting.
