Metrowest Medical Center - Consolidated seeks a nursing leader to support the Chief Nursing Officer, oversee nursing and patient care across hospital units, and ensure quality, safety, and staffing effectiveness. The role carries 24/7 responsibility for assigned areas and drives performance improvements.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license in the state, has 2+ years of progressive hospital management experience, and may possess an ADN with BSN or higher; MSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Current registered nurse license in the state of practice.
• Minimum 2 years progressive hospital management experience.
• Education: ADN with BS in a healthcare field or BSN.
• MSN or master's in healthcare field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and support to the CNO for nursing and patient care across units.
• Assume responsibility for assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing practice multi-unit.
• Ensure high quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care and resource management.
• Other related duties as required.

JOB DESCRIPTION

This role provides leadership and support to the senior executive position (CNO) responsible for all nursing and other designated patient care functions/services within the hospital organization. The role will assume responsibility for assisting in assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing practice on a multi-unit level. Role assumes 24/7 responsibility of Director’s assigned areas. The role is accountable to support CNO to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Has highly effective interpersonal and communication skills, proven leadership ability and hospital operational ability, and ability to serve as role model and advocate for the professional discipline of nursing.
• Active and current registered nurse license in the state of residence/practice
• Provides leadership and support to the senior executive position (CNO) responsible for all nursing and other designated patient care functions/services within the hospital organization.
• Will assume responsibility for assisting in assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing practice on a multi-unit level
• Accountable to support CNO to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.
• Other related duties as required

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: Associate degree from an accredited nursing school with a bachelor's degree in a health care related field or a BSN.
• Experience: 2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital environment as a manager or full-time charge nurse/related position.
• Certification/License: Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy; CPR.
• PreferredEducation: MSN or master's in a health care related field.
