Highlands Care Center is a 50-bed skilled nursing and long-term care facility located on the campus of Highlands Medical Center in Scottsboro, AL. Part of the Huntsville Hospital Health System, Highlands Care Center provides a range of skilled nursing services and collaborates with a broad network of hospitals and care centers in North Alabama.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited School of Nursing required.
• RN with BS in health or business management acceptable.
• Current RN license.
• BLS Certification required before the conclusion of the orientation period.
• Extensive RN leadership experience required.
• Management experience in long term care and skilled nursing preferred.
• Knowledge and experience with 5 Star, Quality measures, PDPM, State survey process, plans of correction, and QAPI desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversees 24hr operations in the clinical department.
• Manages HR, payroll, and Time and Attendance data.
• Leads staffing, scheduling, and mentoring of staff.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies and patient safety standards.
• Analyses budgets and justifies variances; controls within planned budgets.
• Leads performance improvement initiatives and quality initiatives.
• Collaborates with departments, physicians, and HR to solve problems.
• Participates in strategic planning and organizational projects.
