Job summary

Garden Spring Rehab and Care Center in Willow Grove, PA seeks a seasoned professional as a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead the Nursing Department, ensuring quality resident care and regulatory compliance around the clock.

You will guide policy development, support staff training, participate in QI initiatives, and assist with recruiting and retaining qualified nursing staff to uphold high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Active RN license in Pennsylvania.
• Minimum 1 year professional nursing experience in long-term care.
• Minimum 2 years experience as a DON.
• Ability to develop nursing policies and procedures reflecting clinical practice.

Responsibilities

Job Description

As the Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for the planning, development, and overall operation of the Nursing Department, ensuring that our residents receive quality care 24 hours a day. You will be expected to:

• Ensure nursing staff provides quality and appropriate resident/patient care that meets or exceeds company and regulatory standards
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and licensing agency regulatory standards
• Lead and/or participate in Quality Improvement (QI) groups and other multidisciplinary meetings
• May assist with recruiting, hiring, providing orientation/training, and retaining a sufficient number of qualified staff to carry out the responsibilities of nursing services

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Active RN License in the State of Pennsylvania
• Minimum of 1 year professional nursing experience in long-term care setting
• Minimum of 2 years experience working as a DON
• Possess a working knowledge and ability to apply standards of professional nursing practice in job situations
• Ability to develop nursing policies and procedures that reflect current clinical practice, professional standards, and facility philosophy of care
