University Behavioral Center in Orlando, FL, part of Universal Health Services, seeks a Director of Nursing to lead a patient-centered nursing strategy within our inpatient behavioral health facility.

As a senior member of the Leadership Team, you will coordinate nursing operations, drive high‑quality and cost‑effective care, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and mentor a multidisciplinary team across 112 licensed beds.

Qualifications

• Current license or permit to practice professional nursing in the state of FL
• BSN from a CCNE accredited nursing program; MSN strongly preferred
• Demonstrated working knowledge of behavioral health nursing clinical practices and management
• Extensive knowledge of principles and practices relevant to nursing and patient care activities
• Demonstrated knowledge of effective management and supervisory practices; strong written and verbal communication skills
• Three or more years of progressive nursing management experience in behavioral health setting preferred
• Ability to plan, direct, and monitor others' activities with demonstrated leadership abilities

About The Opportunity

The Director of Nursing will be a key member of our Leadership Team who will integrate and coordinate a patient centric nursing strategy with a keen focus on patient care; ensuring that delivery of high-quality and cost-effective health care is consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Universal Health Services and in accordance with government regulation, licensing and accreditation requirements. The DON will participate in the hospital's strategic planning and contributes to the achievement of institutional goals and objectives.
