Job summary

Bickford Senior Living in Omaha, NE is seeking a Health & Wellness Director who serves as the clinical leader to support operations within the branch and collaborates with the Director to create a thriving, vibrant environment for residents.

The HWD will oversee nursing staff, ensure regulatory compliance, coordinate with physicians and external providers, and help implement care plans that enhance quality of life.

Qualifications

• RN license is required.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Written and verbal communication skills required.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Good judgment, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Willingness to take additional training or education as required by states.

Responsibilities

• Occasional mandatory travel for training and development.
• Work with caregivers to integrate assisted living principles and culture into resident care.
• Develop and participate in on-call schedule to support after-hours clinical needs.
• Maintain regulatory compliance.
• Communicate proactively with residents and families to enhance engagement.
• Oversee medication administration processes to ensure orders are followed correctly.
• Coordinate health care services with external providers and physicians.
• Manage partnerships with local vendors to ensure quality care.

RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS

Responsibilities:

• Occasional mandatory travel required for training and development purposes.
• Works with caregivers to ensure the principles of assisted living and Bickford's culture are integrated into all aspects of resident care.
• Develop and participate in the on-call schedule to support clinical needs after hours.
• Maintain regulatory compliance.
• Communicate proactively and effectively with residents/families to enhance their engagement.
• Oversees and manages the process and employees who administer resident. medications ensuring medications are delivered to residents in accordance with their physician's orders.
• Coordinate health care services with external care providers and physicians to ensure resident needs are met.
• Manages partnerships with local vendors to ensure quality external care providers are servicing the residents within the branch.

Qualifications:

• RN license.
• Willing to take additional training or education, which specific states may require.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication.
• Competent in organizational and time management skills.
• Demonstrates good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
