Job summary

Kahala Nui in Honolulu, HI, is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead the 60-bed Hi'olani Care Center Skilled Nursing unit and ensure high-quality, patient-centered care. The DON will oversee daily operations, drive clinical programs, and ensure CMS/state compliance while guiding staff development and quality initiatives.

The role requires a Hawaii RN license, a BSN, and at least three years in long-term care with progressive nursing leadership.

Qualifications

• Valid state of Hawaii RN license in good standing.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university.
• Three (3) years of experience in long-term care.
• Progressive nursing leadership experience, including supervisory or management responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare, CMS, and state regulations.
• Course training or certification in infection control.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to communicate with residents, families, and associates.
• Ability to solve problems independently and apply instructions.
• Proficiency with basic computer functions, including email, web browsers, office apps, and EHR systems; Matrix360 familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities
