Job summary

QuantumScape Battery, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Director of Cell Development to lead a world-class team developing solid-state battery products.

You will translate research concepts into scalable, manufacturable, and market-ready solutions. Responsibilities include guiding cross-functional teams across R&D, process development, and production, establishing engineering standards, and shaping the product roadmap with senior leadership.

Qualifications

15+ years of product design or development with leadership experience.
Experience in solid-state or lithium-metal battery technologies.
Strong cross-functional collaboration and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

Lead a team tasked with designing next-generation solid-state battery products to be scalable, manufacturable, and market-ready.
Partner with R&D, process development, and manufacturing to mature designs from prototype to production-ready.
Establish engineering processes, standards, and best practices for design validation and documentation.
Build and develop a high-performing team capable of delivering designs for scale.
Collaborate with Product Management and senior leadership to shape the product roadmap and resource plan.
