AUSTIN BAPTIST CHURCH in Austin, TX, seeks a Director of Media Ministry to oversee sound, lighting, and video for Sunday worship and church-wide events. This full-time role leads the media team, coordinates volunteers, and ensures smooth livestreaming for remote worship and outreach.

You will manage budgets for sound, video, and lighting, recruit and train volunteers and staff such as FOH Sound and Media Associate, and collaborate with the Executive Pastor to plan productions and campus events.

Responsabilités

• Oversee the technical aspects and production of Sunday corporate worship (both services) and church-wide ABC-sponsored events
• Provide overall coordination and support of media services to other ministries
• Recruit, train, and oversee volunteers, including paid FOH Sound person and Media Associate for corporate worship and other church-sponsored events
• Responsible for the spiritual shepherding and development of the media team
• Manage the transition team between services
• Coordinate and schedule labor for outside events held on campus (e.g. weddings, memorials, etc.)
• Troubleshoot technical issues as they relate to SVL campus-wide
• Create lighting designs with Media Associate, and coordinate creative visual presentations that enhance services and special events campus-wide
• Oversee Media Associate in the production, editing, and distribution of Citizen ATX podcast and sermon podcast
• Be responsible for budget preparation and budget management for sound, video, and lighting, including purchasing needs, repairs, and upgrades
• Oversee and/or perform maintenance and repair of equipment used in related areas
• Direct and execute livestreaming of worship services for members who worship remotely and for outreach/community engagement
• Other duties as assigned by the Executive Pastor

DIRECTOR OF MEDIA MINISTRY JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION TITLE: Director of Media Ministry

SCOPE: The Director of Media Ministry supervises and directs the sound/lighting/video aspects for worship on the campus of Austin Baptist Church. This is a full-time position.

REPORTING RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide overall coordination and support of media services to other ministries
• Recruit, train, and oversee volunteers, including paid FOH Sound person and Media Associate for corporate worship and other church-sponsored events
• Responsible for the spiritual shepherding and development of the media team
• Manage the transition team between services
• Coordinate and schedule labor for outside events held on campus (e.g. weddings, memorials, etc.)
