Job summary

Elegance Senior Living is seeking a maintenance leader to develop a comprehensive preventive maintenance program for all equipment and conduct quarterly walk-throughs to spot issues. You will coordinate compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental rules while interviewing and managing maintenance and housekeeping staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in developing and managing preventive maintenance programs.
• Ability to conduct regular inspections and identify areas of concern.
• Knowledge of local, state and federal building codes and safety regulations.
• Experience interviewing and managing maintenance staff.
• Ability to coordinate landscaping, snow removal, and waste management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program for all equipment.
• Conduct quarterly walk-throughs to identify areas of concern.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, SDS, OSHA, EPA regulations, and fire codes.
• Interview, screen, hire, coach, and evaluate maintenance and housekeeping staff.
• Review apartments after move-out to prepare for new residents.
• Oversee exterior property maintenance including landscaping, snow removal, and waste removal.
• Maintain inventory control for supplies and equipment.
• Foster teamwork and take initiative to support coworkers, residents, and visitors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Develop and build a wide preventative maintenance program designed to keep all equipment in good working order.

Conduct quarterly walk-throughs to identify areas of concern and those needing attention.

Manage and coordinate compliance with local, state and federal building codes, SDS, OSHA, EPA regulations, and fire codes.

Interview, screen, check references, hire, evaluate, coach, and terminate all staff within Maintenance and Housekeeping Departments.

Review all apartments when a resident moves out and determine what needs to be done to make it ready for a new resident.

Ensure the outside of the property is maintained, and direct landscaping, snow removal, and garbage/trash removal by staff and/or contractors as appropriate.

Maintain inventory control for all general supplies, parts and equipment for necessary repairs and maintenance.

Foster teamwork with co-workers, show initiative in overcoming obstacles, take actions which assists others beyond job responsibilities, and have a positive impact on co-workers, residents, and visitors.

Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
