Job summary

Calimingo Pools is seeking a Director of Construction to run all field operations in Southern California, reporting to the CEO and leading PMs and field admins across Custom and Express product lines.

You will own margins, schedules, quality, and client experience on every project, with growth into new regional markets and teams. Expect travel across service areas and evolving regional launches.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in high end residential construction or specialty trades operations (pool, landscape, outdoor living, or similar).
• 5+ years managing project managers or field supervisors.
• Direct P&L responsibility, not just reporting on numbers.
• Experience finding, vetting, onboarding, and managing subcontractors.
• Proven track record of hiring and developing operations staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of project managers and field operations admins.
• Oversee over 30 active projects.
• Full authority to hire and fire field staff.
• Accountable for margin, schedule, quality, and client experience on every project.
• As we grow, hire/train PMs and admins in new regions, potentially co-managing until teams are ready.
