Job summary

Accura HealthCare of Toledo is seeking a Director of Life Enrichment to lead and manage a comprehensive program of activities that promote physical and psychosocial wellness for residents in Toledo, IA. The role focuses on developing, implementing, and maintaining engaging activities that meet individual needs and interests.

The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, with starting pay at $25 per hour and raises based on experience.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of state-specific required training/certification for activities (as applicable) or must obtain within six months of employment.
• Demonstrates leadership abilities.
• Excel in time management and ability to balance multiple priorities while maintaining an organized schedule.
• Able to relate professionally with residents, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, coordinate, and maintain an extensive program of activities for mental, physical, and social stimulation tailored to residents' needs.
• Utilize staff, family, volunteers, and community resources to support life enrichment programs.
• Oversee daily operations of life enrichment activities and ensure quality care.

JOB SUMMARY:

Utilizing staff, family, volunteers and community resources, the Director of Life Enrichment plans, develops, coordinates, and maintains an extensive program of activities designed to provide mental, physical, and social stimulation that meets individualized needs, interests, and capabilities of the residents.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Successful completion of state-specific required training/certification, such as the Activity Professional Qualification Course; if not currently obtained, must be obtained within first six months of employment.
• Demonstrates leadership abilities.
• Excel in time management and ability to balance multiple priorities while maintaining an organized schedule.
• Able to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with residents, residents’ families, and employees.
• Must be capable of performing the Essential Functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
