Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Educational Technology, or a related field.
• Two to four years of progressively responsible experience supporting instructional technology, audiovisual systems, or academic computing, preferably in higher education.
• Demonstrated experience administering learning management systems and instructional technologies.
• Experience supporting audiovisual systems in classrooms, conference rooms, or instructional environments.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, and technical partners.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and enhance instructional technology platforms, including the learning management system and related teaching and learning applications.
• Collaborate with faculty and administrators to assess instructional technology needs, implement technology solutions, and support in-person, hybrid, and online instruction.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, recommend improvements, and provide training and guidance to faculty and staff on instructional technology tools and best practices.
• Oversee operation, maintenance, and lifecycle management of technology in offices, classrooms, courtrooms, conference rooms, and other spaces.
• Plan and provide audiovisual and technology support for conferences, symposia, lectures, meetings, admissions events, and other academic events, including livestreaming and hybrid programming.
• Coordinate with faculty, staff, vendors, and University partners to ensure successful execution of technology-intensive events and programs.
• Provide computing support and technical assistance to Law School faculty, staff, and students, including troubleshooting hardware, software, audiovisual, networking, and instructional technology issues.
• Maintain desktop computers, specialized software, and other technology resources used throughout the Law School.
• Coordinate technology onboarding and ongoing support for faculty and staff.
• Serve as the Law School's primary liaison with University Technology Services and other campus partners on technology planning, infrastructure, and support.
• Develop recommendations for technology improvements, capital investments, equipment replacement, and operational enhancements that align with the Law School's strategic priorities.
• Manage technology-related budgets, purchasing, vendor relationships, contracts, inventory, and equipment lifecycle planning.
• Develop and maintain technology policies, operational procedures, and documentation, ensuring compliance with University standards for accessibility, security, and software licensing.

The Director of Technology Services provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the Law School's instructional technology, classroom and event technology, and academic computing environment. The Director plans, implements, maintains, and supports the technology systems that advance teaching, learning, scholarship, events, and administrative operations. Working closely with faculty, administrators, staff, and University technology partners, the Director develops technology solutions that enhance legal education while providing responsive computing and audiovisual support to the Law School community.

Instructional Technology and Academic Computing

• Administer, maintain, and enhance the Law School's instructional technology platforms, including the learning management system and related teaching and learning applications.
• Collaborate with faculty and administrators to assess instructional technology needs, implement technology solutions, and support in-person, hybrid, and online instruction.
