Description

*Join a growing organization reinventing autism therapy for children and their families*

The Company:

Soar is an innovative, mission-driven healthcare provider transforming early intervention for autistic children. We deliver a premium service for families, advancing the standard of care in autism through comprehensive and evidence-based services to children 6 and under.

Our unique clinical model is based on the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), a naturalistic, child-led, and play-based modality. Children receive integrated care overseen by a multi-disciplinary team operating under one roof, including Board Certified Behavior Analysts, Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, and Developmental Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. We craft individualized therapy plans in deep coordination with families, setting ambitious goals focused on building critical skills that enable children to grow into their fullest selves and thrive.

Since opening our first clinic in Denver in March 2021, we have grown to ~50 state-of-the-art clinics across Colorado, Arizona, Maryland, and Pennsylvania, with plans to continue expanding at a rapid pace through 2026 and in the coming years.

We are looking for a strategic, energetic, and empathetic Director of Intake & Admissions to transform and scale our intake team function. For many families, a contact with this team is their first step after a child’s diagnosis (or suspicion that a diagnosis is warranted). You will be responsible for leading the full intake and admissions journey, from initial inquiry through clinical assessment and enrollment, ensuring that each family touchpoint is compassionate, informative, and seamless while building the people, processes, and technology required to improve conversion, reduce time and barriers to care, and support our rapid national expansion.

Join us as we strive to advance the standard of excellence in autism therapy today!

$190,000.00 - $220,000.00/year, with some flexibility,depending on prior experience

Soar is looking for a full-time Director of Intake & Admissions. This leader will be responsible for building and scaling the team, processes, and systems that help families move efficiently and thoughtfully from initial inquiry through admission into care. Responsibilities will include:

Pipeline & Conversion Management: Own the end-to-end family journey from initial inquiry through clinical assessment and enrollment. Manage the prospective client pipeline, proactively addressing friction points to improve responsiveness, family experience, conversion rates, and speed-to-care.

Team Leadership & Org Design: Lead a multi-layered Intake & Admissions team spanning individual contributors, managers, and dedicated offshore partners. Own all aspects of org design, hiring, coaching, and performance management to foster a culture of high performance and empathy.

Process & Systems Optimization: Redesign workflows and build scalable tools to reduce administrative burden and boost team productivity, allowing our intake coordinators to spend more of their time engaging with prospective families and advancing them through the admissions process. Champion the thoughtful adoption of AI, automation, and data-driven systems, while collaborating with other teams within Soar on broader technology and platform decisions (e.g., CRM architecture)

Cross-Functional Strategy: Partner closely with Marketing, Field Operations (via our Market Presidents and leaders), and Clinical leaders (among others) to redesign processes that span multiple teams and ensure a seamless, warm handoff of families into Soar’s centers.

Data, Reporting, & Insights: Develop comprehensive reporting on the intake and admissions funnel. Analyze performance data to surface actionable insights, establish best practices, and produce analyses that support executive leadership and Board engagement.

Frontline Immersion: Spend dedicated time directly conducting intake calls and navigating frontline workflows to build a deep, firsthand understanding of the prospective family journey and your teammates’ day-to-day experience.

Culture: Foster a culture of high performance, experimentation, continuous improvement

Qualifications and experience:
  • 5+ years of progressive professional experience, with a track record of exceptional performance, increasing responsibility, and successfully building or transforming teams, processes, or systems.
    • Direct experience leading a high-volume intake, admissions, patient access, contact center, or similarly complex customer-facing operation is strongly valued. Experience in healthcare or another complex, high-emotion service environment is especially desirable.

    • Management consulting or investment banking experience at a top-tier firm is also valued, particularly when paired with exposure to comparable operational transformations, people-intensive service business, or direct operating responsibility

Data & Analytics Fluency: Mastery of Excel and/or Google Sheets. Broader technical experience with data analytics, dashboards, or programming (e.g., SQL, BI tools) is highly desirable.

Systems Expertise: Direct experience utilizing, optimizing, or implementing CRMs and other job-specific pipeline management tools is desirable.

AI & Automation: Experience using generative AI tools to build systems, automate workflows, design dashboards, and conduct analyses is desirable.

Strategic & Analytical Thinking: Able to analyze and translate data into actionable insights.

Empathetic Leadership: Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, especially with distributed teams.

Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively and design, improve, and implement processes with a diverse group of stakeholders.

Agility: Ability to work in a rapidly shifting and growing startup environment.

Mission-Driven: Passion for serving children with autism, and their families.

What we offer:

A mission rooted in quality care for kids. We are deeply committed to advancing the standard of care for young kids with autism, via high-quality, ethical services for them and their families.

Ability to work remotely for 95% of time, with expectation to travel to co-locate with the team in Denver or new markets during critical periods of project-based work

  • Great company benefits:
    • Quality medical ($0 deductible), dental, and vision plans

    • A company 401K with company contribution

    • 10 company holidays plus 20 days PTO to start, growing with tenure

    • Short term disability for all staff covered by Soar

  • Opportunities to grow your professional career in a fast growing startup
