$140,000.00/yr - $170,000.00/yr
Our client, an established and forward‑looking organization, is seeking a Director of Infrastructure Connectivity Services to lead the design, implementation, and continuous evolution of its enterprise connectivity strategy. This senior leadership position is responsible for ensuring secure, high‑performance, and resilient networking across on‑premises infrastructure and public cloud environments.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud networking (especially Microsoft Azure), a strong understanding of hybrid and multi‑cloud architectures, and experience with modern, data‑intensive workloads, including those related to AI/ML. In this role, you’ll oversee teams responsible for network engineering, cloud connectivity, operations, automation, and communication services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational oversight for all connectivity services, including LAN/WAN, cloud networking, remote access, and unified communications.
- Architect and manage hybrid connectivity between on‑premises environments and public cloud platforms using services such as Azure ExpressRoute, Virtual WAN, and VPN Gateway.
- Design cloud‑native networking architectures that support scalable, secure, and resilient application delivery across Azure and AWS environments.
- Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to meet demanding network requirements for modern workloads, including containerized services and AI/ML platforms.
- Lead segmentation and security strategies to support compliance with standards like HIPAA, PCI, and others.
- Optimize networking infrastructure to support GPU‑based workloads and low‑latency, high‑throughput demands.
- Oversee core network components including switching, routing, firewalls, and WAN optimization.
- Advance network automation and Infrastructure‑as‑Code practices using tools like Terraform, ARM, or Bicep.
- Direct enterprise wireless strategies to support clinical mobility, IoT, and secure campus connectivity.
- Manage telephony and unified communication platforms, including cloud‑based voice and collaboration services.
- Ensure secure and reliable connectivity for distributed teams, contractors, and external partners.
- Cultivate vendor relationships to maintain service performance and enable future innovations.
- Build and develop high‑performing, cross‑functional engineering teams with an emphasis on cloud connectivity.
- Maintain alignment with internal security policies and external regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or related discipline (Master’s preferred).
- 12+ years of infrastructure experience with 7+ years leading network and/or cloud connectivity teams.
- Advanced knowledge of Azure networking technologies, including vNet, ExpressRoute, NSG, Private Link, etc.
- Proven experience supporting hybrid environments integrating cloud and data center resources.
- Background in enterprise WAN architecture, SD‑WAN, and global networking solutions.
- Familiarity with AI/ML networking requirements and performance optimization.
- Strong leadership in automation, performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Excellent strategic thinking, communication, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
- Prior experience in highly regulated sectors (e.g., healthcare, finance) is a plus.
Preferred Certifications
- Cisco CCNP/CCIE, Fortinet NSE, or similar enterprise network certifications
- AWS Advanced Networking or Google Cloud Network Engineer (preferred, not required)
