We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Housekeeping to oversee the housekeeping and laundry operations of our skilled nursing facility. This position plays an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee daily housekeeping and laundry operations throughout the facility.
- Supervise, train, schedule, and support housekeeping and laundry staff.
- Develop and maintain cleaning schedules and ensure assigned duties are completed.
- Monitor cleanliness of resident rooms, common areas, offices, dining areas, and other facility spaces.
- Ensure proper cleaning and disinfecting procedures are followed.
- Maintain adequate supplies and manage inventory of housekeeping and laundry products.
- Inspect work areas regularly to ensure facility cleanliness and quality standards are maintained.
- Ensure housekeeping practices comply with facility policies, infection prevention standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with nursing, maintenance, dietary, and other departments to address environmental needs.
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, performance management, and staff development.
- Address resident and family concerns related to housekeeping services in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain appropriate documentation, schedules, supply records, and other departmental records.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment.
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping or environmental services supervisory experience, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting.
- Previous experience supervising and scheduling staff.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Knowledge of cleaning, disinfecting, infection prevention, and safety practices.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and leadership.
- Ability to work independently while effectively managing a team.
- Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and resident care.
