Job description

About Code Metal

Code Metal is the leader in automated software engineering you can trust. As AI writes more of the world's code, the bottleneck in software has shifted from writing code to verifying it works, and AI cannot verify its own work with certainty. Code Metal takes a fundamentally different approach: constrain AI to what it does reliably, verify every step independently of the model using formal methods, and keep engineers in the loop on the decisions that matter. The result isn't code that probably works — it's code that is provably correct, with auditable proof. Customers including the U.S. Air Force, L3Harris, RTX, and Toshiba use Code Metal to modernize legacy code, optimize performance on real hardware, and move prototypes to production, fast. Founded in 2023 with offices in Boston and San Francisco, Code Metal isfunded byAccel, Salesforce Ventures, B Capital, Smith Point Capital, J2 Ventures, Shield Capital, Overmatch, RTX, and others.

About The Role:

This role is ideal for someone who understands Fort Meade and the cryptographic ecosystem, the transition to memory-safe languages, and software and hardware challenges facing the mission. You’re excited about identifying problems that Code Metal can potentially solve, and helping Code Metal navigate through the ecosystem. You’ll quarterback USG engagements from introduction through technical evaluation, opportunity identification, relationship building, and expansion - working closely with Solutions, Product, Engineering, and other Growth leaders. This role blends strategy, capture, relationship-building, and problem-solving.

Responsibilities:
  • Define, lead, and execute a GTM strategy.

  • Maintain and further build relationships with IC customers and the related ecosystem.

  • Shape and turn opportunities into contracts.

  • Ensure decision makers and influencers have accurate information on Code Metal execution and potential contribution to the crypto problem set.

  • Anticipate and maintain status of relevant policy, budget, and acquisition shifts that open new opportunities.

  • Collaborate with technical teams to align Code Metal’s product with IC needs.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

  • Experience in business development, capture, or GTM leadership within government or defense technology sectors with a proven history of success is a plus.

  • Technical fluency in crypto problem set is a plus.

  • Exceptional relationship building, communication, negotiation, and strategic planning skills.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the following:
  • Dept. of War component command, or joint logistics / operations roles
