Job Description Summary:

We are seeking an accomplished leader to serve as Senior Director, Global Logistics Network Optimization & Digitization within Global Logistics Services and Global Procurement. This role leads enterprise capabilities that improve how logistics networks are designed, sourced, optimized, digitized, and governed across a complex global supply chain. The Senior Director will lead a high-performing team responsible for network optimization, transportation sourcing digitization, data and analytics strategy, market intelligence, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate combines strategic vision, quantitative problem-solving, technology fluency, stakeholder influence, and people leadership to deliver measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enterprise Strategy and Leadership: Define and execute the strategic roadmap for logistics optimization, digitization, analytics, and capability development across global and regional stakeholders. Translate business objectives into scalable transformation initiatives, governance models, investment priorities, and measurable value-delivery plans. Serve as a trusted advisor to procurement, supply chain, logistics, technology, and business leaders on network, sourcing, and digital capability decisions.
  • Network Optimization: Lead transportation and logistics network modeling to improve flows, facility footprints, service models, inventory positioning, modal strategies, and network design. Evaluate tradeoffs among cost, service, capacity, resilience, sustainability, and operational feasibility to shape practical recommendations. Develop business cases, implementation roadmaps, and repeatable methodologies that convert analytical insights into measurable results.
  • Digitization and Technology: Define and advance the digitization strategy for transportation sourcing, rate management, scenario analysis, supplier assessment, reporting, and workflow processes. Identify opportunities to streamline manual activities through technology, automation, artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, and process redesign. Champion adoption of scalable, user-centered tools through effective stakeholder engagement, governance, change management, and alignment with enterprise technology standards.
  • Data, Analytics, and Market Intelligence: Develop logistics data, analytics, and market intelligence capabilities that improve visibility, data quality, sourcing strategy, supplier insights, and business decision-making. Build dashboards, executive reporting, analytical products, and decision-support tools that translate complex data into clear business recommendations. Establish standards for data ownership, governance, taxonomy, definitions, and reusable analytical approaches across logistics teams.
  • Sourcing Capability and Value Delivery: Partner with logistics category leaders and regional procurement teams to strengthen transportation sourcing, RFIs, RFPs, annual bids, mini-bids, supplier evaluation, and award recommendations. Apply network, supplier, market, demand and cost intelligence to improve sourcing decisions while respecting category ownership and decision rights. Build and maintain a pipeline of optimization, sourcing, digitization, productivity, risk mitigation, and value-realization opportunities.
  • Stakeholder and Change Leadership: Partner effectively with procurement, supply chain, transportation, finance, technology, data, suppliers and operating unit leaders in a global matrixed environment. Define project scope, governance, decision frameworks, deliverables and stakeholder expectations while navigating ambiguity and evolving business needs. Communicate complex analytical findings in concise, executive-ready language and build alignment through credibility, collaboration and practical problem solving.
  • People Leadership: Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team of logistics, optimization, sourcing, analytics and digitization professionals. Establish clear priorities, accountability, development plans, succession readiness and a culture of curiosity, collaboration, inclusion and continuous learning. Manage relationships with external consultants, technology providers, analytics partners and solution vendors as needed.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Business, Analytics, Computer Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Approximately 10+ years of progressive experience in logistics, supply chain, procurement, analytics, optimization, consulting, digital transformation or related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives in large, matrixed organizations and developing business cases that drive measurable outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of transportation networks, logistics operations, sourcing strategies, supply chain tradeoffs and quantitative decision support.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, influence senior stakeholders, communicate clearly and operate effectively at both strategic and tactical levels in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent curriculum.
