Job summary

TalentBridge represents a rapidly growing manufacturing client seeking a Manager/Director of Financial Planning & Analysis to build and lead the FP&A function. The role reports to the CFO and partners with executive leadership, board, and investors to guide strategic decisions.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of progressive FP&A experience across FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, transaction advisory, or related disciplines, including operating-company FP&A experience.
  • Director-level candidates will typically bring 10+ years of experience and previous leadership or team management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience building or significantly transforming an FP&A, planning, or forecasting function.
  • Advanced financial modeling skills, including driver-based three-statement modeling, scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, and long-range planning.
  • Strong accounting foundation with the ability to connect GAAP financial results to management reporting and business performance.
  • Experience within manufacturing, industrial, aerospace, hardware, engineered products, or advanced materials strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing financial drivers, including COGS, inventory, standard costing, capacity utilization, and gross margin.
  • Multi-entity and multi-currency experience; international exposure strongly preferred.
  • Experience within a high-growth, venture-backed, private equity-backed, or similarly dynamic environment highly desirable.
  • M&A modeling, diligence, or integration experience is a strong plus.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with ERP, planning, and BI/reporting platforms.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or related field; MBA, CPA, or CFA welcomed but not required.
  • Strong executive communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex financial analysis into clear business recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Build and own the company's FP&A function, including annual planning, rolling forecasts, long-range planning, and management reporting.
  • Develop sophisticated driver-based financial models across the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
  • Establish company-wide KPIs and reporting to provide leadership with actionable insights into business performance.
  • Lead budget-to-actual and variance analysis, translating financial results into clear business drivers and recommendations.
  • Partner with Accounting following each close to ensure accurate, timely, and decision-useful reporting.
  • Serve as a strategic finance partner to Operations, Commercial, R&D, and other functional leaders.
  • Analyze product and program profitability, gross margin, COGS, capacity, pricing, and unit economics within a manufacturing environment.
  • Lead capital planning and develop financial business cases for significant investments.
  • Support multi-entity and international planning, reporting, and consolidation.
  • Build and maintain long-range financial models supporting strategic planning, scenario analysis, liquidity, and growth initiatives.
  • Support M&A, including acquisition modeling, financial diligence, synergy analysis, and post-close integration.
  • Prepare financial analysis, KPI reporting, and presentations for executive leadership, the board, and investors.
  • Evaluate and implement FP&A, reporting, and BI tools as the organization scales.
  • Build and develop the FP&A team over time.
