DFA Milk in Missouri is seeking a senior formulation leader to drive end-to-end dairy product development from concept through commercialization, ensuring speed-to-market and first-pass success. You will shape formulation strategies across multiple platforms, manage cross‑functional programs, and lead a team focused on cost-out, innovation, and scalable processes.

The role requires 12+ years in R&D, strong leadership, and the ability to travel 50–75% to support plant trials and customer

12+ years of progressive R&D and formulation-driven development.
Proven leadership in bringing products from concept to commercialization.
Strong cross-functional collaboration and project management.

Responsibilities

Lead formulation development from concept to pilot readiness across dairy beverages, cultured systems, sauces, cheese, dry blends, concentrates, flavors, specialty co-drying, and other priority platforms.
Translate customer briefs into executable formulation plans with clear milestones, timelines, risks, and decisions.
Drive cost modeling, margin improvement, and formula optimization while maintaining quality and safety.
Provide IP development and protection through innovative formulations and process improvements.
Mentor the formulation team and ensure bench-to-production alignment with scale-up plans.
