Nebraska Methodist Health System in Omaha seeks a senior finance leader to drive decision support, revenue analytics, and treasury activities. This role serves as a strategic business partner to management, ensuring sound internal controls and optimal use of resources across the health system.

The position oversees forecasting, budgeting, pricing, and external reporting, while guiding staff development and cross-functional collaboration.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related financial field.
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of fifteen years’ progressive experience in hospital/health care or public accounting.
  • At least ten years of management experience.
  • Certified Public Accountant preferred.
  • Chartered Financial Analyst preferred.

Responsabilidades

  • Performs, directs, and/or reviews financial analyses and pro forma analyses as requested by senior management and/or the Board of Directors.
  • Monitors processes to maximize use of technology for timely decision making and performance improvement.
  • Oversees Charge Capture and Maintains Prices, ensuring government cost reports are prepared and submitted accurately.
  • Analyses changes in reimbursement and impact on financials; supports investment portfolios and debt issuances.
  • Mentors staff and maintains strong internal/external relationships.

Job Summary

Responsible for decision support and revenue integrity of the Health System. Functions as a strategic business counselor to all levels of management as well as a steward of sound internal controls and Health System resources.

Responsibilities
Essential Functions

Decision Support: 45%

  • Oversees the preparation of Financial Forecasts, Cost Accounting, Productivity, Management Reporting, and Capital Planning.
  • Leads the development of assumptions, overall preparation and analysis of the annual operating budgets for Health System affiliates and the Consolidated Budget.
  • Performs, directs, and/or reviews financial analyses and pro forma analyses as requested by members of the senior management team and/or the Board of Directors.
  • Provides input and direction in the development and implementation of processes and technology to provide, monitor, and enhance information for decision making in a timely manner; in this regard, maximize the use of technology to improve performance.
Revenue Analytics

45%

  • Oversees Charge Capture.
  • Maintains Charge Masters on a compliant basis and responsible for Establishing and Maintaining Prices.
  • Ensures Accurate and Timely Preparation and Submission of all Governmental Cost Reports.
  • Analyzes Changes in Reimbursement to determine impact to the financials.
  • Oversees plan to test IT implementations, upgrades and patches impacting the Revenue Cycle.
Treasury

10%

  • Support CFO with the three investment portfolios – operating, Foundation and MJE Pension.
  • Assist CFO with maintenance of new issuances for long-term, publicly traded, tax-exempt debt.
  • Staff Investment Committee of Methodist Health System Board of Directors.
  • Staff and participate in the Participant Directed Investment Committee with the fund selection for qualified and non-qualified retirement plans.
  • Work collaboratively with investment and fiscal advisors.

Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related financial field
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
Experience
