Job description

A growing global manufacturing organization is seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Finance to lead domestic and international finance operations. This highly visible leadership role will oversee accounting, financial reporting, treasury, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and financial strategy across multiple operating entities.

The successful candidate will serve as a key business partner to senior leadership while leading an established finance organization and helping drive operational excellence, scalability, and long-term growth.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced finance leader who combines strong technical accounting expertise with strategic business acumen and manufacturing finance experience.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Finance Leadership

• Partner with executive leadership on financial strategy, business planning, and organizational growth initiatives.
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.
• Develop financial models, scenario analyses, and business cases that support strategic decision making.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business performance and profitability.

Accounting & Financial Operations

• Oversee all aspects of corporate accounting and financial reporting.
• Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Maintain compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Direct month-end and year-end close processes.
• Coordinate external audits and tax-related activities.

Treasury & Risk Management

• Oversee treasury operations, including cash management, liquidity planning, and forecasting.
• Monitor working capital performance and optimize cash flow.
• Develop and maintain effective internal controls and risk mitigation strategies.
• Support investment and capital allocation decisions.

Global Finance Operations

• Provide financial oversight for domestic and international entities.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, licensing, tax, and reporting requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with finance teams and business leaders across global operations.
• Drive consistency and best practices across international finance functions.

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead, mentor, and develop domestic and international finance professionals.
• Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Drive process improvements and operational efficiencies throughout the finance organization.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience.
• Significant manufacturing finance, cost accounting, inventory management, and operational finance experience.
• Deep knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Experience managing multi-entity accounting and reporting environments.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing finance teams.
• Advanced financial modeling and analytical capabilities.

Preferred

• CPA preferred.
• Public accounting background highly desirable.
• Experience supporting international operations.
• Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing operations preferred.
• Treasury and cash management experience.
• ERP experience (SAP Business One or similar ERP platform).
• Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence tools.
