Job description

Savy Management is seeking a highly analytical, execution-driven, hands-on Director of Finance to lead financial performance, planning, accountability, and long-term financial infrastructure across Savy Management and its operating companies, including Savy & Sons, JWI, and Aligned Elevator.

Reporting directly to the CEO and serving as a member of the leadership team, the Director of Finance will be responsible for protecting and improving profitability, building annual budgets and forecasts, developing enterprise KPIs and financial scorecards, analyzing company and job‑level performance, leading the finance function, and providing clear financial recommendations that support better business decisions.

This is not a purely advisory finance role. The Director of Finance must be comfortable moving between high‑level strategy and hands‑on execution—building financial models, reviewing project profitability, working inside company systems, coaching the finance team, and driving initiatives from concept through completion.

As Savy Management continues to scale organically and through acquisitions, this role will help build the financial systems, reporting structure, and leadership discipline required to support a growing portfolio of companies.

The ideal candidate thinks like an operator, leads through action, develops people, and turns financial insight into measurable business results.

About Savy Management

Savy Management is the centralized management company supporting a growing portfolio of operating businesses, including Savy & Sons, JWI, and Aligned Elevator, with additional operating companies expected through continued growth and acquisition.

Through Savy Management, shared functions including Finance, Human Resources, Systems, Marketing, executive leadership, and back‑office support provide scalable infrastructure to the operating companies.

We are committed to showing up with solutions, exceeding expectations by outperforming yesterday’s success. Our vision is to impact the lives of 500,000 customers by building the future and restoring the past.

We are aligned and transparent in our pursuit of helping every team member achieve their personal, professional, and financial goals through the work we do together.

Our Core Values guide every decision we make: Safety, Aligned, Inspirational, Disciplined, Accountable, Results‑Oriented, and Transparent.

These values guide how we make decisions, serve customers, develop our people, and pursue sustainable growth. The Director of Finance is expected to demonstrate these values through everyday leadership, financial stewardship, communication, and execution.

Objectives

  • Provide the CEO and leadership team with clear, timely, actionable financial insight.
  • Own annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to support informed decisions and financial accountability.
  • Establish meaningful financial and operational KPIs that drive performance improvement. Build and maintain enterprise KPIs, dashboards, and financial scorecards.
  • Analyze profitability by company, division, service line, project, and customer.
  • Identify financial risks, inefficiencies, and growth opportunities, and drive corrective action. Identify margin erosion, financial risks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
  • Lead, develop, and hold the finance team accountable for execution and results. Lead, grow, and develop the finance team.
  • Support major capital, hiring, equipment, debt, and investment decisions.
  • Lead the internal financial integration of future acquisitions.
  • Build scalable financial systems, controls, reporting, and acquisition integration processes to support continued growth. Build scalable financial systems, processes, controls, and reporting infrastructure.
