Job summary

Coral Springs Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Wilmington, Delaware, is seeking an experienced Director of Environmental Services to lead the Housekeeping, Laundry and Floor Tech teams. This hands-on role focuses on a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, families, and staff.

You will oversee operations, set schedules and SOPs, conduct infection control rounds, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with CMS/state requirements.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of housekeeping/environmental services supervisory experience, preferably in a skilled nursing, long-term care, or healthcare setting.
• Working knowledge of infection control practices, OSHA regulations, and CMS/state survey requirements.
• Experience with floor care equipment and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate housekeeping, laundry, and floor tech staff
• Develop and enforce cleaning schedules and SOPs for resident rooms, common areas, offices, and outdoor spaces

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Director of Environmental Services to lead our Housekeeping, Laundry and Floor Tech team at Coral Springs Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Wilmington, Delaware.

This role is essential to maintaining a clean, safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for our residents, families, staff, and visitors, while ensuring full compliance with state and federal infection control and regulatory standards.

As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall operation and management of our Environmental Services department.

Responsibilities:

• Hire, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate housekeeping, laundry, and floor tech staff
• Develop and enforce cleaning schedules and standard operating procedures for resident rooms, common areas, offices, and outdoor spaces
• Conduct routine environmental rounds and infection control audits
• Oversee processing of resident personal laundry and facility linens (bedding, towels, uniforms)
• Order supplies and equipment within budgetary guidelines

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
• Minimum 2–3 years of housekeeping/environmental services supervisory experience, preferably in a skilled nursing, long-term care, or healthcare setting
• Working knowledge of infection control practices, OSHA regulations, and CMS/state survey requirements
• Experience with floor care equipment and techniques
• Availability for occasional evening/weekend/on-call coverage
