BWX Technologies, Inc. (BWXT) seeks a Director of Engineering – Enrichment Operations to lead the full engineering function for a production‑ready centrifuge product and a high‑precision, highly automated factory.

You will oversee engineering strategy from concept through prototype/pilot to full‑rate production, establishing core systems engineering and digital thread practices to ensure disciplined requirements management and seamless subsystem integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; advanced degree preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive engineering leadership in high‑precision, highly regulated environments (nuclear, aerospace, defense, automotive, semiconductor).
• Experience designing, building, commissioning, and scaling a high‑precision manufacturing facility to high‑volume production.
• Strong expertise in automation, precision machining, assembly, metrology, and inspection systems.
• U.S. citizen capable of obtaining/maintaining a DOE Q clearance; active clearance preferred.

Responsabilités

• Lead a multidisciplinary engineering organization spanning manufacturing, process, facilities, automation, industrialization, and precision systems.
• Establish modern systems engineering capability with requirements management and digital thread practices.
• Oversee end‑to‑end integration of subsystems into the centrifuge product and supporting systems.
• Lead design, build, and startup of a high‑precision manufacturing facility with automation and digital factory systems.
• Drive manufacturability, DFx, and industrialization to achieve aerospace‑grade quality.
