Job summary

Amphenol Gas & Moisture Solutions is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead the AGMS engineering organization across gas sensing, humidity and moisture measurement, and related sensor platforms.

You will set technology direction, accelerate product development, and manage multi-site teams in the US, Europe, Asia, and Mexico, balancing innovation, speed, cost, and commercial priorities.

This role offers global impact, cross-functional collaboration, and a tangible voice in shaping the business.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
  • 10+ years of engineering experience with 5+ years leading multi-site teams.
  • Proven success developing and launching new products.
  • Sensor or transducer development experience.
  • Automotive OEM/Tier 1 experience and a strong design-to-cost mindset.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Ready to shape the future of sensor technology while leading engineering on a global scale? Amphenol Gas & Moisture Solutions is looking for a Director of Engineering to lead the AGMS engineering organization across gas sensing, humidity and moisture measurement, and related sensor platforms.

You’ll set the technology direction, accelerate new product development, and build strong engineering teams across the U.S., Europe, Asia, and Mexico. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can balance technical innovation, speed, cost, and commercial priorities—and wants a meaningful voice in the direction of the business.

LOCATION

St. Marys, PA, with up to 40% domestic and international travel

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Lead and develop a global, multi-site engineering organization
  • Own the technology roadmap and drive new products from concept through launch
  • Accelerate innovation while improving development speed, product cost, and execution
  • Partner with Product Management, Operations, Sales, and other teams to turn market needs into successful products
  • Advance sensing technologies and identify new product and market opportunities
  • Build engineering capability, accountability, and future leaders across the organization
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field
  • 10+ years of engineering experience with 5+ years leading multi-site teams
  • Proven success developing and launching new products
  • Sensor or transducer development experience
  • Automotive OEM/Tier 1 experience and a strong design-to-cost mindset
  • A commercially minded, decisive leader who is technically credible and effective across cultures and functions

Advanced technical degrees, ASPICE knowledge, HVAC/building controls or battery energy storage experience, global engineering leadership experience, and issued patents are a plus.
