Job summary

Thaden School seeks an innovative, collaborative, and highly visible Director of Technology to guide the school's technology program. Reporting to senior leadership, this role leads educational technology, information systems, cybersecurity, and operations to support teaching, learning, and the school’s mission.

The Director will inherit a robust tech ecosystem and will build programs, strengthen partnerships, and shape the next chapter of technology-enabled teaching in a growing independent

Qualifications

• Master's degree (preferred) or bachelor's in computer science or technology.
• Experience in computer information systems, systems administration, systems engineering or equivalent work.
• Ability to manage and lead a diverse, lean technology team in a school environment.
• Ability to communicate and work with all levels within an educational organization.
• Strong project management skills with drive to meet objectives.
• Knowledge of classroom technology and learning principles.
• Experience with budgeting, procurement, and vendor negotiations.
• Willingness to contribute to the independent school community in additional capacities.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of the school's technology program and services.
• Serve as strategic leader for educational technology, information systems, cybersecurity, and technology operations.
• Collaborate with faculty, students, administrators, parents, and trustees to advance teaching and learning with technology.
