Role Description

The Director of Dining Services is a full-time, on-site role based in Pittsburgh, PA, responsible for overseeing all aspects of dining operations within a senior living or healthcare community. This role manages day-to-day food service, including menu planning, food preparation standards, and compliance with safety and sanitation regulations. The Director leads and develops dining team members, ensures high-quality resident experiences, and collaborates with community leadership on service improvements. Daily responsibilities include monitoring budgets and P&L performance, managing vendor relationships, controlling inventory, and implementing initiatives that support healthy aging and resident satisfaction. The Director also handles scheduling, training, performance evaluations, and fosters an inclusive, service-focused culture aligned with CCL Hospitality Group’s values.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in Food Service Operations and Food Service, including scheduling, staffing, and service standards.
• Strong knowledge of Food Preparation and Food & Beverage management, with a focus on quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Proven experience with P&L Management, budgeting, and cost control in a dining or hospitality environment.
• Background in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality dining services is highly beneficial.
• Skill in leading diverse teams, coaching staff, and building a positive, resident-centered service culture.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and follow-through.
• Ability to work on-site in Pittsburgh, PA and meet physical demands typical of a dining services environment.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, nutrition, culinary arts, business, or a related field preferred.
