Job summary

Tufts University is seeking a Director of Dharmic Life within the Office of Religious and Philosophical Life (RPL) to lead Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Sikh programming, and to advance interfaith collaboration across Tufts’ campuses.

The role involves coordinating Dharmic programs, offering spiritual leadership, and building relationships with student organizations, departments, and external partners to support pluralism and spiritual life on campus.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Divinity, Theology, Religious Studies, or related field.
• Practitioner of one of the Dharmic traditions with ability to lead spiritual and educational programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide short-term spiritual care to individuals and groups.
• Lead and coordinate Dharmic life programs and campus events.
• Organize interfaith student programs and liaise with campus offices and centers.
• Oversee communication, social media, and newsletters for Dharmic life.
• Support graduate/interfaith student councils and campus rituals.
