Job summary

Addlestone Hebrew Academy is seeking an experienced Director of Development to lead and grow the school's fundraising program. You will design strategies, cultivate major gifts, and partner with the Head of School and Board to secure sustainable growth for annual campaigns, events, and grants.

The role emphasizes proactive donor engagement, strong communication, and collaboration with executives and community partners to advance Addlestone Hebrew Academy's mission and financial health.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of fundraising experience in non-profit or comparable organization.
• Bachelor's Degree at minimum; Masters preferred.
• Experience with high net worth individuals.
• Comprehensive knowledge of fundraising strategies.
• Superior persuasive oral and written communication skills.
• Strong relationship development with donors and community leaders.
• Knowledge of and experience with a CRM database.
• Highly organized and strategic in project/event management.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Head of School and Board of Directors to develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy aligned with the school's goals and mission.
• Create a strategic plan for a multi-faceted fundraising approach including major gifts, corporate partnerships, events, and grassroots giving.
• Manage fundraising activities: annual giving, capital campaigns, events, direct mail, cultivation and solicitation visits.
• Identify potential donors and develop cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies across individuals, organizations, and foundations.
• Establish and implement a comprehensive donor stewardship plan.
• Benchmark programming and performance among peer centers and aspirational peers.
• Meet or exceed annual fundraising goals and grow year over year.
• Manage department budget with the Head of School.
• Collaborate with local/regional partners to identify opportunities.
• Maintain donor database and communications.
