Job summary

LitWorld is seeking a Director of Development & Communications to lead fundraising and communications for a nonprofit focused on literacy. The role reports to the Executive Director and will build a team to execute strategies that advance LitWorld's mission and impact.

The position works closely with the Board and senior leadership to design and implement robust fundraising initiatives and communications campaigns that expand programs and partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated success leading fundraising campaigns and communications efforts.
• Experience building and mentoring senior teams and working with a board.

ABOUT THE POSITION

LitWorld is looking for passionate, creative leaders who are inspired by our mission and committed to supporting young people. The Director of Development and Communications will report directly to the Executive Director. The Director will develop and implement organization-wide fundraising and communications strategies and tactics, including building a team to support. This position will work closely with the Board and executive leadership to build and implement robust fundraising and communications strategies to support programming. This is a role with significant leadership responsibilities that will have a strong impact on the future of LitWorld.
