Job summary

Family Service Agency (FSA) in Santa Barbara seeks a seasoned Director of Development and Communications to lead a comprehensive fundraising program and drive revenue growth through major gifts, foundations, corporate support, events, and planned giving.

The successful candidate will partner with the Executive Director and the Development/Marketing Committee, oversee donor engagement, analytics, and communications while upholding FSA's mission and commitment to the community.

Qualifications

• At least five years demonstrated success in nonprofit fundraising.
• Personnel management experience.
• Strong analytical, organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiar with and passionate about FSA's mission.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and evaluate a comprehensive fundraising program.
• Lead major gift solicitations and secure public, foundation and corporate support.

Family Service Agency (FSA) seeks an expert and engaging Director of Development and Communications. The position reports to the Executive Director and also works closely with the Development/Marketing Committee to develop, implement and evaluate a comprehensive fundraising program that includes major gift solicitations, public, foundation and corporate support, special events, planned giving, and public relations/communications.

Must possess integrity, astute interpersonal skills, and the ability to leverage key relationships and contacts to ensure meeting revenue goals. At least five years demonstrated success in nonprofit fundraising and effective collaborative relationships with staff, board, and donors required. Personnel management experience and strong analytical, organizational, written and verbal communication skills are imperative. Must be familiar with and passionate about FSA's mission and long tradition of service and commitment to the most vulnerable in our community.
