Job summary

Save the Children seeks a Director, Data Support to lead a growing data services team, improve data quality, and enable marketing, fundraising, and governance initiatives. The role focuses on governance, processes, and timely data delivery to support strategic decisions.

The position requires 5+ years of data leadership, proficiency with Jira/JSM/Confluence, and strong Microsoft Office skills, including Access and Excel. It offers a hybrid setup in multiple US locations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; 5+ years data leadership experience.
Experience leading a data services team and governance initiatives.
Strong data management principles and governance practices.
Capacity management and working with business teams.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
Proficiency with Jira, Jira Service Management and Confluence for dashboards and workload management.
Professional fluency in English.

Responsibilities

Lead and mature the Data Support team and ensure high-quality data operations.
Collaborate with data infrastructure teams and engage stakeholders to deliver data services.
Balance workloads, track KPIs, and report metrics to leadership.
Develop onboarding and leveling programs for Data Support Analysts.
Identify upskilling opportunities and drive professional growth.
Partner with business stakeholders to align priorities and service delivery.
