Job summary

Yotpo is seeking a Director of Data to lead our evolving Data organization, shaping the future of our data platform and infrastructure. You’ll balance hands-on technical leadership with strategic oversight, working across Data Engineering and Data Infrastructure to enable scalable data products.

In this senior role you’ll mentor a multidisciplinary team, partner with R&D, Product, Finance and GTM, and drive modernization using AI, automation, and modern data platforms in a hybrid work

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Platform, Data Infrastructure, or related technical domains.
• 3+ years of engineering leadership experience, including direct people management and ownership of strategic technical initiatives.
• Strong hands-on expertise designing, building, and operating large-scale data platforms and distributed systems.
• Deep understanding of modern data architectures, including data warehouses, data lakes, data pipelines, orchestration frameworks, and cloud-based platforms.
• Proven ability to lead technical direction while remaining actively involved in architecture and implementation discussions.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams across Data Engineering, Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, or related functions.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience partnering across technical and business organizations.
• Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional initiatives and influence outcomes in complex environments.
• A passion for innovation and continuous learning, with a strong interest in AI, automation, and the future of data platforms.

• Experience leading organizational or operational transformations within data teams.
• Background in high-growth B2B SaaS companies.
• Hands-on experience with technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, Airflow, Kafka, dbt, or similar modern data tools.
• Familiarity with DataOps, platform engineering, infrastructure automation, and observability practices.
• Experience supporting business domains such as Finance, Customer Support, Revenue Operations, GTM, or Business Intelligence.
• Strong understanding of emerging trends in AI-native engineering and next-generation data platforms.
