Job summary

Competitive Power Ventures, Inc. (CPV) seeks a Director of Cybersecurity to lead the Information Technology Security program from CPV's Silver Spring, MD office. You will shape the enterprise security strategy, manage risk, and coordinate with IT, OT, and business leadership to protect critical assets.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in cybersecurity with 5+ years in leadership, strong cloud/SaaS and Microsoft experience, and excellent communication with executives.

Qualifications

• Approximately 10+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, information technology, infrastructure, or related disciplines.
• At least 5 years of cybersecurity leadership or management experience.
• Experience with cloud and SaaS environments, particularly Microsoft technologies.
• Experience managing cybersecurity vendors, consultants, and managed security service providers.
• Strong written, verbal, executive presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to translate complex technical risks into understandable business risks and recommendations.
• Experience presenting cybersecurity matters to executives is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and drive CPV's enterprise cybersecurity strategy and multi-year roadmap.
• Advise senior management on cybersecurity risks, regulatory developments, and investments.
• Establish cybersecurity priorities based on business risk and regulatory requirements.
• Develop annual cybersecurity objectives, budgets, initiatives, and metrics.
• Lead cybersecurity across IT, cloud, data, and OT environments.
• Coordinate cybersecurity activities across CPV offices and assets.
• Manage cybersecurity personnel, vendors, and third-party resources.
• Develop and enforce CPV cybersecurity policies, standards, and controls.
• Maintain governance over access, change, vulnerability, incident response, data protection, and AI security.
