Qualifications

  • Experience with Division 2-10 (concrete to finished trade).
  • 3+ years Data Center experience required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Project).
  • Yardi, Procor and Prolog experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage overall schedules and lead regional market teams.
  • Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure timely completion.
  • Perform quality control duties and ensure contracted scope compliance.
  • Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions and safety standards.
  • Maintain daily field log and supervise field superintendent duties where needed.
  • Preside over weekly subcontractor meetings to coordinate work.

DIRECTOR OF CONSTRUCTION
Role Summary

The Director is responsible for a portfolio of projects, project teams, and client relationships. This role drives execution, financial performance, staffing, operational excellence, and leadership development. A successful candidate will have senior project management experience, field knowledge, and readiness for VP-level responsibilities including overseeing regional financial forecasting, budgets, schedules, client relationships and operational excellence. They will manage multiple projects, lead teams, and ensure quality assurance and control.

As the Director, they will:

  • Support general leadership of a defined regional market
  • Lead data center campus teams
  • Provide hands on management support for individual projects
  • Manage overall budgets and corresponding subcontractor/vendor/consultant budgets

Through their project management and field teams they will be responsible for:

  • Manage overall schedules
  • Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure timely completion.
  • Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed.
  • Ensure that subcontractor is fully executing and complying with the contracted scope of work.
  • Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.
  • Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards.
  • Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to project team for resolution.
  • Maintain daily log (written) of activities on the jobsite.
  • May perform Field Superintendent duties at multiple job sites, simultaneously.
  • Ensure subcontractor has corrected all deficiencies identified by project team.
  • Walk all units on project to monitor activities and assist in future planning.
  • Preside over weekly subcontractor meetings designed to coordinate the work.
  • Issue notices of non-compliance to subcontractors in regards to quality of work or scheduling.
  • Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner.
  • Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and completion.

    • Develop PMs and Superintendents.
    • Identify future leaders.
    • Conduct quarterly talent reviews.
    • Create succession plans.
  • Operational Excellence(schedule performance, safety performance, quality metrics)
    • Standardize processes.
    • Implement lessons learned.
    • Improve project controls.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelors degree, or equivalent experience, required
  • 15+ years Construction experience, required
  • Experience with Division 2-10 (concrete to finished trade)
  • 3+ years Data Center experience, required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel and Project)
  • Yardi, Procor and Prolog experience, preferred
