Flagship Labs 111 Inc. (FL111) in Cambridge, MA, seeks a Director/Senior Director of Computational Chemistry to lead design and optimization of heterobifunctional small molecules.

You will guide computational strategy, work closely with medicinal chemistry, structure biology, and project teams, and mentor a world-class computational chemistry function. The role emphasizes strategic leadership, development of AI/ML modeling capabilities, and collaboration across chemistry, biology, and in vivo

Qualifications

• PhD in Chemistry or related field with 10+ years in industry and demonstrated leadership.
• Deep expertise in computational medicinal chemistry and structure-based drug design across programs.
• Experience mentoring scientists and leading interdisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency with cheminformatics for design and prioritization.
• Experience with heterobifunctional small molecules (e.g., PROTACs) preferred.
• Startup/early-stage biotech experience preferred.
• Familiarity with ADME challenges for large, flexible molecules preferred.

Responsabilités

• Define the strategic vision for heterobifunctional small molecules and drive design.
• Direct cheminformatics strategy and internal workflows to support programs.
• Lead ADME and developability assessment across the portfolio.
