Job summary

Peregrine is seeking a hands-on Director of Communications to tell the company’s technology story across external and internal audiences, including media, customers and partners. Based in San Francisco, you will drive our integrated technology and AI communications program and amplify Peregrine’s leadership in the field.

• 10+ years of experience in Communications, in-house or agency or both.
• Hands-on communications pro with strong writing and storytelling skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead external product, technology and AI communications and craft the company narrative for Peregrine.
• Drive integrated communications programs across external audiences and internal stakeholders, including executive teams.
• Partner with a PR agency to execute strategy across traditional and new media.
• Grow thought leadership on AI, security, data governance, and technology applications.
• Collaborate on events and brand marketing opportunities and internal communications moments.

Job description

• As the Director of Communications at Peregrine, you’ll be part of a growing Communications team responsible for telling Peregrine’s company and technology story across external and internal audiences, including media, third-party validators, customers, prospects and partners
• Based in SF and reporting to the VP of Communications, the Director of Communications will drive our integrated technology, product and AI communications program, increasing awareness of Peregrine and our platform across audiences
• This person is a critical member of our team, focused on amplifying Peregrine’s technological vision by illustrating the value we deliver across traditional and new media audiences
• Drive the execution of our external product, technology and AI communications strategy in partnership with internal stakeholders including product and growth marketing, content, and leadership teams
• Work closely with an external PR agency to craft and execute our communications strategy across traditional and new media (Substack, podcasts, speaking, awards and influencers)
• Grow and diversify our thought leadership around topics of AI, trust, privacy, data governance and technology in real-world applications, including building an engineering and product blog
• Partner cross-functionally on external events and brand marketing opportunities to amplify Peregrine’s leadership and support internal communications moments, including the monthly All Hands, an internal newsletter for cross-company alignment, and more
