Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking a Director/VP, Commercial Lines to lead nationwide Commercial Property & Casualty operations. This role partners with Divisional and Regional Leadership to optimize workflows, drive standardization, and support strategic initiatives across the agency.

The position emphasizes M&A integration, workforce planning, and exceptional client service while advancing IOA’s performance goals.

Qualifications

  • Active Property & Casualty license required.
  • CPCU and/or CIC designation (or equivalent).
  • 5–7+ years of Commercial Lines operational leadership experience within a large insurance brokerage or agency.
  • Strong expertise in Commercial P&C agency operations, workflows, servicing models, and process optimization.
  • Demonstrated experience with workflow standardization, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing sustainable process improvements.
  • Strong workforce planning, capacity modeling, and resource management experience.
  • Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and operational integration initiatives.
  • Applied EPIC experience strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to influence leaders and drive results in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic initiatives to strengthen Commercial Lines operations, service delivery, and performance.
  • Identify operational challenges and implement scalable solutions to improve efficiency and client outcomes.
  • Establish and promote standardized Commercial Lines workflows, procedures, and best practices.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce variation.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for sustainable improvements.
  • Analyze staffing models and workload to develop capacity plans supporting growth.
  • Coordinate with Managed Services to ensure resource utilization aligns with goals.
  • Serve as a national Commercial P&C subject matter expert advising on operations, systems, and best practices.
  • Support merger and acquisition initiatives through operational assessments and integration planning.
  • Collaborate with producers, operations, and leadership to drive engagement and implementation of strategic initiatives.
  • Promote EPIC utilization and optimization of reporting tools and technology.
