Job summary

Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. seeks a Director, Clinical Technical Operations to lead the technology ecosystem behind global clinical trial programs.

You will drive clinical management technology strategy, oversee systems, data governance, and automation to support planning, execution, and inspection readiness across trials. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Clinical Research, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health, Information Systems, or related discipline.
• Minimum 12+ years of experience within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or CRO environments supporting clinical operations.
• Minimum 10+ years of leadership experience managing teams, programs, or complex cross-functional initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Execute Clinical Technical Operations plans and priorities aligned with corporate and Clinical Management objectives.
• Contribute to development and execution of clinical technologies, digital innovation, system integrations, automation, and data management capabilities.
• Lead implementation and optimization initiatives in support of digital transformation to improve study execution, operational efficiency, data quality, inspection readiness, and user experience.
• Provide strategic oversight of clinical data flows, integrations, data mappings, and system architecture.
• Partner with IT and business stakeholders to ensure systems remain scalable, secure, compliant, and fit for purpose.
• Lead cross-functional project teams supporting technology implementation, organizational change, and process transformation.
• Ensure readiness for internal audits, regulatory inspections, and vendor assessments.
