This role leads a multi-disciplinary team across control systems, diagnostics, embedded software, and real time integration to deliver a robust CID architecture and safe, reliable operation.

You will drive engineering rhythm, technical direction, and external collaborations, owning interfaces, safety interlocks, and data management for real-time plasma operations.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Controls, Computer Science, Physics, or equivalent.
• 10+ years in integrated control systems, industrial automation, fast data acquisition, or related fields.
• 5+ years engineering management leading multi-team organizations.
• Experience owning complex system development from architecture to integration.
• Strong safety and high reliability engineering practices with disciplined documentation.

Aufgaben

• Lead and mentor a multi-disciplinary organization across control systems and instrumentation.
• Establish engineering operating rhythm including planning and reviews.
• Set technical direction across requirements, architecture, and verification.
• Own CID architecture across DAQ, SCADA, safety interlocks, and diagnostics.
• Lead tech selection for real time control, networking, timing, and data management.
• Interface with external vendors and collaborators for controls hardware and instrumentation.
• Oversee development and integration of the Eos control system across subsystems.
• Own Safety and Interlock System philosophy and alignment to standards.
• Oversee instrumentation architecture with sensor selection, conditioning, grounding, shielding.
• Coordinate with systems engineering to translate device requirements into CID requirements.
• Run gates and design reviews with entry/exit criteria and configuration control.
• Deliver requirements, interface control documents, design packages, test plans, and acceptance evidence.
