Job summary

First Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hastings, NE is seeking a Director of Christian Education to lead and inspire youth and adults through faith-based education programs. The director will collaborate with the Pastor and education team and oversee Sunday School, Ichthus, Advent services, and special events.

This salaried, year-round role requires a Bachelor’s Degree or Christian Ministry experience, CPR certification, and at least three years of ministry work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Christian Ministry experience.
• CPR certification is required.
• Three years of Christian ministry experience preferred.
• Ability to recruit, train and supervise volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement children’s and adult education programs with the Christian Education Team.
• Supervise Sunday mornings and midweek programming; limit absences.
• Recruit, train and supervise volunteers for ministry programs.
• Plan and manage budgets for curriculum, materials and resources.
• Maintain a contact database for children and families; foster care and communication.
• Attend meetings and perform other duties as assigned.
