Job summary
The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center are seeking an academic cardiologist to lead cardiovascular research as Director of Cardiovascular Research and Innovation. The role will provide strategic vision, operational leadership, and mentorship to build a national research program spanning basic to implementation science.
The Division includes over 60 cardiology and vascular specialists, with access to cutting-edge technologies and ongoing clinical trials.
Qualifications
- Board certification/eligibility in Cardiovascular Medicine is required.
- Fellowship training in Cardiovascular Medicine from a US-accredited program is required.
- Advanced training in Preventative Cardiology or Lipidology is preferred.
- Eligibility for an Ohio medical license is required.
- Eligibility for an academic appointment at The Ohio State University is expected.
Responsibilities
- Lead and sustain a nationally competitive cardiovascular research enterprise.
- Provide strategic vision, operational leadership and mentorship.
- Champion innovation by integrating AI, digital health and data science.
- Translate discovery into improved cardiovascular outcomes and trials.
