Job summary

Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital, part of Universal Health Services, seeks a Director of Business Development to oversee Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service within the Marketing Department and drive utilization of the continuum of care through marketing principles.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or related field required.
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License.
  • Prior marketing and/or sales experience in behavioral healthcare preferred.
  • Five years minimum experience in organizational communications, referral development, workshop planning, sales management, and physician relationships preferred.
  • MBA or related field highly preferred (experience may substitute for degree).
  • Knowledge of Oklahoma behavioral health marketplace, insurance plans, referral sources, psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment, and age-specific programming preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and strong written/oral communication; marketing mix knowledge; willingness to travel, including overnight travel.

Responsibilities

The Director of Business Development oversees the provision of Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service activities within the Marketing Department and is responsible for achieving the desired utilization of the organization’s continuum of care through the effective application of marketing principles and methods. As a member of the facility management team, the Director is actively involved in discussions related to a wide variety of facility issues including, but not limited to, strategic planning, potential growth opportunities, future projects, changes in programming/protocols, recruitment and retention. The Director is responsible for the facility’s strategic marketing plan, enhancing the facility’s brand/image, managing all sales and business development activities, and maintaining an active and productive working relationship with internal departments, communicating issues or potential problems proactively, especially with the CEO and Director of Admissions/Intake. Work hours are based on departmental and facility needs and may include day, evening, and weekend hours, as directed by the CEO.

Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital (a UHS facility) provides inpatient and residential treatment services for youth ages 5-17, as well as inpatient, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient services for adults ages 18+. Our treatment programs provide a structured and supportive treatment environment that promotes self-acceptance and helps stabilize patients suffering from acute psychiatric illness. Qualifications

  • Masters of Business Administration or related field highly preferred (Experience may be evaluated on a case-by-case basis in lieu of a degree)
  • Prefer knowledge of the Oklahoma behavioral health marketplace, insurance plans, target markets and referral sources, psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment and, age-specific programming.
  • Must possess demonstrated superior leadership abilities and excellent written and oral communication skills; knowledge of and skills in application of marketing principles including product, placement, pricing and promotion as well as management of sales, advertising, social media, online presence and, public relations resources; creativity and flexibility; skills in data collection and analysis, interpretation, application and, evaluation; strategic planning skills; record of adherence to deadlines; customer service skills; teaching or training skills; willingness to travel, including overnight travel as required
