Job summary

Syndax Pharmaceuticals seeks a Director/Senior Director, Bioanalysis to lead bioanalytical strategy for small molecules and biologics. You will oversee assay development, CRO oversight, and cross-functional leadership to drive development programs in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires PhD/MS with 10+ or 15+ years in pharma/biotech bioanalysis, strong regulatory experience, and a track record of scientific leadership. NY-based with a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• PhD or MS in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field.
• 10+ years (PhD) or 15+ years (MS) of relevant pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry experience.
• Deep expertise in bioanalysis, including mass spectrometry, ligand-binding assays, and biologics, with knowledge of GLP and PK principles.
• Experience authoring and reviewing regulatory submissions, health authority responses, SOPs, and validation documentation.
• Proven leadership, ability to influence cross-functional teams, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end bioanalytical strategies for small molecules and biologics across nonclinical and clinical programs.
• Serve as internal SME in bioanalysis, including LC-MS/MS, ligand-binding assays and biomarkers.
• Oversee assay development, validation, and sample analysis at CROs with scientific rigor and compliance.
• Drive CRO selection, oversight and performance management while resolving complex challenges.
• Review and approve bioanalytical protocols, validation reports, and regulatory submissions.
• Partner with Clinical Pharmacology, DMPK, Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, and QA to meet milestones.
• Represent Bioanalysis on project teams, regulatory interactions, and due diligence.
• Establish bioanalytical best practices and drive continuous improvement in assays and operations.
• Stay current with advances in bioanalytical science and regulatory guidance.
