Job summary

D’Youville University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Director of Faculty Development to lead anatomy education for preclinical medical students. The role involves curriculum development, teaching, research, and service to the university and community.

You will collaborate with the Program Director and deans, mentor faculty, and drive scholarly activity while ensuring alignment with COMLEX/USMLE readiness and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience teaching Anatomy to medical students or graduate/professional learners.
• Experience preparing and maintaining Anatomy instructional materials.
• Ability to mentor and advise students and faculty; involvement in scholarly activity.

Responsibilities

• Develop and finalize the Anatomy, Neuroanatomy, Histology and Embryology curriculum as part of Preclinical education.
• Deliver course content and supervise delivery to osteopathic medical students; ensure instructional excellence.
• Engage in research and scholarly activity with opportunities for student involvement; publish and present.
• Mentor students individually and in groups and support across all four years of the program.
• Support student prep for COMLEX and USMLE and contribute to assessment and remediation.
• Collaborate with other departments and research faculty; participate in committees; maintain instructional materials.
• Adhere to safety protocols and training; serve as a positive role model for students and community.
• Provide service to the COM, university and greater community.
