Bosch Group is seeking a Director of Simulation and Evaluation for Autonomous Driving to lead the global AI backbone, architect multi-level simulation ecosystems, and bridge high-fidelity sensor simulation with generative world models. This role ensures safe, robust ADAS deployment through rigorous validation and executive-ready strategic guidance.

The position centers on building scalable simulation platforms, guiding SoP decisions, and mentoring a diverse team of engineers and data scientists

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in a quantitative field such as CS, EE, ML, statistics or physics.
• 10+ years of software engineering in embedded systems, automotive, or robotics.
• 7+ years leading complex software projects in ADAS or Autonomous Driving.
• Hands-on experience with L2++ or L4 SoP including simulation, testing, and validation.
• 5+ years developing or evaluating large-scale AI/LLMs for simulation and behavior prediction.
• Expert understanding of multi-level simulation platforms for perception and behavioral training.
• Proven ability to write data-driven technical strategy documentation for executive decisions.

Responsibilities

• Define the roadmap for high-throughput, closed-loop AI simulation and foundation models.
• Research and validate quality, safety, and realism of ML models for training and evaluation.
• Architect evaluation frameworks and build tools for rapid iteration of Foundation Models.
• Lead development of World Models to predict complex edge cases and create data pipelines for labeling and metrics.
• Establish gold-standard evaluation criteria informing Start of Production decisions.
• Lead and mentor a global cross-functional team of SWEs, Data Scientists, and ML experts.
