We’rea boutique tactical asset manager with a differentiated product that serves the independent broker-dealer and RIA channel .

Headquarteredin Bethesda, MD, we combine institutional-grade investmentexpertisewith a quantitative process that is Built to Conquer Risk ®.

As the Director of Advisor solutions, you will turn Potomac’s platform capabilities into funded advisor relationships.
SEAT PURPOSE

Lead growth efforts by helping advisors understand, adopt, and fund Potomac’s Union and Guardrails platform. You’ll run discovery, demos, training, solution design, due diligence, and the handoff from evaluation to onboarding and launch.

WHY THIS SEAT MATTERS

Advisors need to quickly see how Potomac can solve real business, portfolio, and client-service challenges. This advisor-facing role turns a complex platform into clear recommendations, confident adoption, and funded advisor relationships.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Be the platform expert — lead advisor discovery, Union demos, Guardrails Analytics presentations, due diligence, and solution design.
  • Spearhead growth - prospect and identify key opportunities, build and execute business plan, expand platform reach, and present the benefits of Union and Guardrails at industry and Potomac webinars, conferences, and events.
  • Train advisors and Potomac Sales teams — build and deliver practical training, demos, talk tracks, FAQs, and enablement materials for Union and Guardrails.
  • Own and manage the pipeline — keep accurate CRM activity, next steps, stage progression, AUM projections, implementation status and identify and overcome key blockers to drive opportunities from discovery through funding and launch.
  • Launch committed advisors — partner with Operations so expectations, training needs, service workflows, and launch blockers are visible and resolved.
  • Turn field feedback into improvements — capture advisor questions, objections, workflow gaps, and training needs, then recommend improvements to Sales, Operations, leadership, and product stakeholders.
WHO THRIVES HERE
GETS IT

You have first-hand experience managing the nuance and complexities of platform/TAMP sales and navigating the lengthy sales cycle. You understand advisor operating models across platform, custody, portfolio construction, reporting, planning, service models, and client experience, and are comfortable discussing with advisors. You can quickly spot the workflow that needs to change, and explain it clearly, and implement necessary modifications.

WANTS IT

You love consultative, education-led selling—not transactional product pitching. You’re motivated by creating new business opportunities, advancing advisor relationships, winning business, and driving advisor adoption and AUM growth. You are detail-oriented and enjoy building repeatable sales processes and scalable playbooks that turn advisor interest into profitable long-term relationships.

CAPACITY

You bring deep TAMP/RIA knowledge, strong advisor-workflow fluency, and the ability to lead discovery, demos, group training, and internal enablement both virtually and in person. You are equally as comfortable finding and cultivating advisor relationships, managing opportunities, and closing business to achieve targeted outcomes. . Series 65/66 required.

FIRST 90 DAYS
  • Become certified as the Union and Guardrails SME and independently run live advisor discovery and demo sessions.
  • Deliver Guardrails Analytics training for an advisor group and Potomac Sales, with reusable enablement materials.
  • Launch a weekly Core Union pipeline cadence in CRM covering activity, owner, stage, next action, expected AUM, implementation status, and blockers.
  • Send leadership the first advisor-feedback memo with workflow gaps, training needs, enablement ideas, and platform recommendations.
CORE VALUES FIT
  • Intellectually Curious — continuously masters an evolving platform capabilities to stay ahead of prospect questions as well as advisor challenges and industry trend to have more meaningful conversations and uncover new opportunities.
  • Transparency — earns advisor trust through honest and accurate communication; setting clear expectations, representing platform capabilities and limitations truthfully, and never sacrificing long-term credibility for a short-term sale.
  • Keep It Simple — Creates and refines the narrative that makes a complex solution easy to understand. Turns platform capabilities into positive advisor outcomes and clear and actionable opportunities.
  • Responsiveness — Acts with urgency and discipline and keeps advisor momentum moving via consistent followup, clear and timely workflows, and relentless progression of new business opportunities.
  • Get Shit Done — this is a Foundation-phase hire for a candidate who wants to build and grow a successful platform: the playbook doesn't exist yet and this seat builds it, and executes it.
  • Attention to Detail — Sweats the small details to ensure process efficiency, minimization of errors, and most importantly, a positive advisor and client experience. Precise on compliance-sensitive language given Potomac's SEC-registered RIA status.

Potomac is not your typical asset manager. We cut through the industry BS with brutal transparency and an obsession with execution. Ifyou’relooking for a slow pace and low volume, thisisn’tfor you.

If you have a passion to drive, build, and scale an industry leading platform, this is your shot.
