Job summary

apturagroup is seeking a Director of Accounting to lead all accounting operations and ensure timely financial reporting. Reporting to the President, the role combines hands-on technical accounting with strategic leadership and process improvement to support growth.

The ideal candidate will balance technical expertise with strong partnership with executive leadership, drive internal controls, manage audits and oversee budgeting and treasury activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 8–12+ years of progressive accounting and financial management experience with leadership responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience managing month-end and year-end close and external audits.
• Proficient with ERP/accounting systems and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting operations, including GL, AP, AR, payroll, fixed assets, accruals and reconciliations.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual close and financial reporting.
• Prepare consolidated financial statements and schedules per US GAAP.
• Develop and maintain internal controls and policies.
• Manage external audits, tax filings, and relationships with auditors and tax advisors.
• Support cash management, budgeting, forecasting and strategic initiatives.
• Drive process improvements and ERP system optimization.
